A rope was put over the overflow of
the cave pool and a diver, secured
with another rope, was to recover
as much equipment as possible
out of the pool.
Some stages could be recovered but the water level rose up more and more
Gertjan, Jiles, Ralph and Hoffi helped
Brus out of the rapids. It was
too dangerous to recover more
equipment
The water level rose more than 2m
overnight. A lot of equipment got
washed away. Some stages
were still in the pool.
The overflow from the cave pool
yesterday
The same place today The team
discussed what they could do
The pool yesterday. Crystal clear
water and the small rivulet
The small and lovely river mutated to
a river with big rapids
The rest of the team arrived the next morning. It had rained the whole night
and some loud noises got us
really scared
After two hours the water level was
at the highest. It was impossible
to recover more equipment.
The whole place around the pool was flooded. Impossible to work safely
The equipment that had not been taken
away by the river was brought up
with the cable car
We couldn’t do anything anymore.
It was time to drive home.
